With OT Caden has built up more strength is his arms and legs, which in turn helps with speech along with both gross and fine motor skills. His coordination has improved as well, he is now jumping ( and jumping off things) up and down, learning to skip, and can run without too many falls or running into to things.
However, where Caden has made the most improvement in just a few months are his social and play skills. How was that possible during quarantine? Well, we were fortunate enough to have a friend reach out and inform us of a play based therapy, as a-pose to the traditional ABA therapy. After seeing some video of Caden on our social media, she felt he was a good fit for the THE PLAY PROJECT (PLAY). She lent us the book and offered a parent seminar to learn more about it. We dove right in and after two days of learning about PLAY, we knew Caden would benefit greatly from it. And he has!
